Monroe Depot The former Georgia Railroad depot at Monroe was built sometime around 1885. These photos show the building before and after a recent rehabilitation. Nearby is the northern terminus of the shortline Great Walton Railroad. Monroe (pop. 11,764) is the county seat of Walton County.
