Shannon Depot Shannon's Southern Railway depot was cut in two and moved to Mountain Park, an unincorporated Gwinnett County community near Stone Mountain, sometime around 1976. Today it stands as a community center in a county park at 5050 Five Forks Trickum Road. Shannon, a community in Floyd County, is located about eight miles northeast of Rome.
