Tallapoosa Depot

Tallapoosa depot with cotton bales

Tallapoosa's station served the Southern Railway. This photo, which dates to around 1906, indicates the importance that King Cotton once had in the local economy.

Tallapoosa is a town of 2,900 in Haralson County, about 70 miles west of Atlanta.
