Georgia Coast & Piedmont Railroad
This map from Official Guide of the Railways, April 1918, shows the GC&P crossing the Altamaha River and entering Brunswick. The railroad ended at Darien prior to 1914, but in March of that year new steel bridges over the two branches of the great river allowed trains to continue to the larger port city.
