Georgia Midland Railroad

Georgia Midland Railroad was established in March, 2004 to operate four former Ogeechee Railway lines in middle and eastern Georgia:

(1) the 15-mile line between Roberta and Fort Valley, (once Southern Railway),

(2) the 13-mile line between Fort Valley and Perry (once Central of Georgia),

(3) the 29-mile line between Dover and Metter (once Central of Georgia), and

(4) the 21-mile line between Ardmore and Sylvania (once Central of Georgia).

Ogeechee Railway had leased these four lines from the Georgia Department of Transportation, along with the 42-mile line between Midville and Vidalia. The Midville-Vidalia line is now operated by Heart of Georgia Railroad

Georgia Midland Railroad and Heart of Georgia Railroad are owned by Atlantic Western Transportation of Americus, Georgia.
