Knoxville Southern Railroad



Incorporated June 23, 1887. In 1889-90, the Knoxville Southern constructed a rail line from Knoxville, Tennessee to Blue Ridge, Georgia, where it connected with the Marietta and North Georgia Railway, which was under the same ownership. Together the two lines created a through route from Atlanta to Knoxville.
