Nashville & Chattanooga Railroad
Civil War period map, Chattanooga area

The Nashville & Chattanooga Railroad passed through a corner of Alabama and a tiny sliver of Georgia before reaching Chattanooga. The railroad to Trenton was the Wills Valley Railroad. In Georgia's northwest corner is the mining railroad to Gordon's Mines, later the Nickajack Railroad. Entering Chattanooga from the east were the Western & Atlantic and the East Tennessee & Georgia.
