Savannah & Tybee Railroad Chartered in October 1886, the 18-mile road was completed in 1887. It entered receivership in November 1888 and was sold in December 1889 and reorganized by bondholders as the Savannah, Tybee and Atlantic Railway in March 1890.   Georgia's Railroad History & Heritage.
