Cedartown Depot A replica of Cedartown's long-demolished Seaboard Air Line Railway depot was constructed in 2004 to serve as a local welcome center and trailhead for the Silver Comet Trail. The building stands at the same location on S. Main Street as did the original structure. The Central of Georgia also had a depot here, a large two-story structure with offices for the railroad's Cedartown District. It stood on the east side of downtown on Park Street at Noyes Street . Cedartown (pop. 9,483) is the county seat of Polk County. It is located about 65 miles west of Atlanta.   RailGa.com.
