Hazlehurst Depot Hazlehurst's depot still stands by the Norfolk Southern tracks in the center of town, where it is used by railroad crews. Located on U.S. 341 in middle Georgia, Hazlehurst is a town of 4,268 people. It was named for George H. Hazlehurst, the civil engineer who surveyed the Macon & Brunswick Railroad through here.
