Metcalf Depot The former Savannah, Florida & Western and Atlantic Coast Line depot at Metcalf now houses offices of a local lumber company. With its vertical siding, ornamented gables, wide roof overhang, and covered open-air freight platform, the depot is a good example of the late nineteenth century SF&W standard combination station. Metcalf, spelled Metcalfe by some, is a tiny community between Thomasville and the Florida line.   RailGa.com.
