Warthen Depot The 1886 Augusta Southern Railroad depot in Warthen still stands long after the railroad was abandoned in 1933. It was converted to a residence and later became a retail shop. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997. Warthen is in Washington County between Sparta and Sandersville.   RailGa.com.
