Built by the Nashville, Chattanooga & St. Louis Railway, this steel and concrete structure opened in December 1944 as part of a line straightening and relocation project between Cartersville and Acworth. It crosses the Etowah River downstream from the earlier crossing used by the NC&St.L and the Western & Atlantic Railroad. The line is now in use by CSX. |
